About the blog creator: My name is Ballyhoo Betty and I am an unreasonably passionate sideshow nerd. I grew up in Sarasota, FL and then spent three years in Madison, WI, neighboring the renowned town of Baraboo. It was in rural Wisconsin that I picked up a summer job as a carnie, working stick joints. After that experience, I moved to Austin, TX where I am currently active in the sideshow arts.
